On the 31st of October the #UNFCCC #COP26 started, the UN Climate Conference in Glasgow to unite the world to tackle climate change. The COP26 summit will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
At EML, being part of the MOL group, we will continue to provide solutions for issues of high importance such as the preservation of the marine environment, protection of biodiversity and prevention of air pollution, and in order to tackle climate change with utmost urgency, the MOL Group will make a concerted effort to achieve net zero GHG emissions by 2050. With these contributions for the sustainable development of our society and the preservation of nature, from the blue oceans, we sustain people's lives and ensure a prosperous future.
Earlier this year EML successfully trialed sustainable biofuel on its vessel City of Oslo to reduce carbon emissions by 80% to 90% compared to fossil fuel equivalents.
